Ask PBCN for a place
How to ask PBCN to arrange a place to stay, step by step.
When to use this
Use Ask PBCN for a place when you need PBCN to arrange somewhere to stay. You only see this button when you can send a request. If you can't, the page shows the reason under the buttons.
The request has 5 steps: What's happening, Who needs a place, Where you are now, Needs and Review.
Send the request
Open My Accommodation
Open My Accommodation. On a phone, tap More at the bottom of the screen first.
Tap Ask PBCN for a place
Tap the white Ask PBCN for a place button. The page Ask PBCN for a place opens.
What is happening?
Tap the situation that fits, or Something else. Then tap the purple Next button.
If you skip it, you see "Choose what is happening."
Who needs a place?
Tap the square next to each person who needs a place, including yourself. To add someone not listed, tap Add someone else and fill in their name and date of birth (or about how old they are). Then tap Next.
Children under 18 can't be the only people on a request.
Where are you now?
- Under Where are you now? *, type where you are, for example "still in Pelican Narrows".
- Under Phone while away *, check your phone number. It is filled in from your profile.
- You can also fill in City you would like to stay in, Do you need a ride? and When do you expect to arrive?
Then tap the purple Next button.
Does anyone need something special?
If anyone has special needs, fill them in. Use Anything else staff should know? for other notes. Then tap the purple Review & Submit button.
Check and send
Check each part. Tap Edit next to a part to change it. Tick the box to confirm, then tap the purple Send request button.
After you send it, you see your request number and What happens next. Tap Back to My Accommodation to go back.
Withdraw a request
If you no longer need the place:
- Open My Accommodation and find your request (it says Your request and its number).
- Tap the white Withdraw request button.
- A box asks Withdraw this request? Tap Withdraw.
- A message pops up: Request withdrawn.
You can send a new request later.
