Your session ended
What happens when the portal signs you out, and how to get back to what you were doing.
What you see
Sometimes the portal signs you out by itself, for example after you leave it open for a long time, or after you sign out on another tab or device. When that happens:
- Every portal tab in your browser goes to the sign-in page.
- A yellow note says Your session ended, so you were signed out. Sign in to continue where you left off.
Get back to where you were
Sign in again
Type your email and password and tap the purple Sign In button. Enter your sign-in code if asked.
Carry on
The portal takes you back to the page you were on.
What is kept
- Application forms: your answers are saved as a draft while you type. Open the program again and tap Continue Draft, or find the draft in My Applications.
- Some other forms: what you were typing may come back when you sign in again in the same browser tab.
- Bank numbers, treaty numbers, dates of birth and passwords are not kept. Type them again.
If you use a shared computer, always tap Log out when you are done, even if the portal would sign you out later. See Sign in and sign out.
If you signed out on purpose
If you tapped Log out, the portal does not keep what you were typing. Only saved drafts are kept.
If you are signed out often and don't know why, contact your band office.
